Program Director Autism and Behavioral Services Program
Bekka McCulley serves as the program director for the CAA Autism and Behavioral Services program. Bekka graduated from Mary Baldwin University with a degree in Social Work, completed her MSW at Virginia Commonwealth University, and completed a M.Ed Curriculum and Instruction Applied Behavior Analysis from Arizona State University. Bekka began as an Adult Protective Services social worker helping sufferers of abuse in 2012 and quickly found a passion in helping individuals find a voice. In 2013, Bekka began working as an In-Home Team Member at CAA, which provided her the opportunity to work with children and adults with a wide array of mental illnesses and intellectual disabilities. In 2018, Bekka earned her BCBA and LBA and continue assisting children with Autism Spectrum Disorder and Intellectual Disabilities. Bekka yearns to give individuals an outlet for communication and to improve the relationships of all families. While away from CAA, Bekka enjoys spending time with her husband, sons, and pets.

Director of Mental Health Services
Laura is a Licensed Professional Counselor who obtained her Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Virginia Commonwealth University and her Master of Education in Family Counseling from The College of William & Mary. Laura joined the CAA family in 2015, as an In-Home Team Member for both adults (MHSS) and children (IIH). In 2016, Laura served as a program assistant, and became clinical supervisor upon obtaining her license in 2018. Also in 2018, Laura became the Clinical Supervisor for the Sponsored Residential Program (SPRES). In 2020, Laura was promoted to Program Director for IIH/MHSS/SPRES services. Laura’s passion lies in assisting children, adolescents and adults in finding solutions to daily challenges through the development of coping strategies and adaptive behavior. In her spare time, Laura enjoys home improvement projects and spending time with her family, friends and 3 dogs.

Amy graduated from Virginia Commonwealth University with a degree in Cinema and Mass Communications. While working as a nanny, Amy found her passion in working with children with special needs and decided to pursue that career. She received her Master in Special Education with a graduate certificate in ABA from George Mason University. Amy joined the CAA family as an ABA Supervisor Assistant while she completed her supervision hours and then earned her BCBA and LBA. Amy loves to find creative solutions to difficult problems and watching her clients have breakthrough moments in their development. In her spare time, Amy enjoys crafting, watching movies, and hiking with her dog.

Clinical BCBA Supervisor
Rachel obtained her Bachelor of Arts in English and Creative Writing from Hollins University and her Master of Education in Applied Behavior Analysis from the University of Cincinnati. Rachel joined the CAA family as a Clinical BCBA Supervisor. Rachel desires to provide ABA services to individuals and their families who live in rural areas where services are not readily available. Rachel’s specialties include Functional Communication Training (FCT), early childhood intervention, and desensitization training. In her spare time, Rachel enjoys writing, going to festivals, and playing with her cat.

CLINICAL BCBA SUPERVISOR
Crystal obtained both her Bachelor's and Master's of Science from Longwood University, specializing in Special Education. She became a middle school special education teacher, and then completed the BCBA coursework at St. Joseph's University. Crystal joined the CAA family as a Clinical Supervisor in ABA. She has experience in providing ABA services to children with various diagnoses, ages 3-19. In her spare time, Crystal enjoys her children and grandchildren, coaching Miracle League baseball, and as much golf as time allows!

Clinical BCBA Supervisor
Anyelina obtained her associate's degree in children and youth studies from Borough of Manhattan Community College and is currently pursuing her Bachelor's in Social Work at York College. Anyelina joined CAA as a Behavior Technician and hopes to obtain her MSW and continue to reach the lives of young children and adolescents through behavioral therapy that allows them to enhance the quality of their lives and be the best version of themselves to thrive in their future. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her husband and three daughters. she also enjoys cooking and doing community work with her local church.

Jody obtained her Bachelor in Child Development and Family Studies from Purdue University and her Master in Counseling from Oakland University. Jody is currently working on her PhD in Counselor Education and Supervision at Capella University. Jody joined the CAA family as a Clinical Supervisor. Jody looks forward to continued work with clients in crisis with needed support. Jody’s specialty is working with parents and families who have experienced trauma. In her spare time, Jody enjoys time with her family, golf, photography and playing the violin.

Maria obtained her Bachelor of Science in Early Childhood Education from Towson University. Maria has completed 21 credits towards her master's from Virginia Commonwealth University and University of Phoenix in Special Education, and is currently completing training to become a Positive Behavioral Support Specialist. Maria joined the CAA family in 2014 as an In-Home Team Member in the ABA program. Maria became the Supervisor for CAA’s Sponsored Residential Program in 2018 and currently works full-time as the Supervisor. Maria hopes to serve children and their parents with exceptional needs though assisting with Behavior Supports and the Sponsored Residential program. She enjoys spending time with her husband, her 4 children, traveling, gardening, cooking, entertaining friends, and volunteering in her community.

Leonard obtained his Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Eastern Mennonite College. After graduation, he worked as a Behavioral Technician at the Cumberland Hospital for Adolescents and Children. Leonard also worked for MCV Supportive Employment. He joined Counseling and Advocacy Associates in December 2012. In the next year, he plans to start working on earning a certificate in substance abuse counseling. In his spare time, Leonard enjoys football and spending time with his wife, 2 kids, and dog.

Zelby’s professional goals are to obtain a PHD in Counseling. In her spare time, Zelby enjoys volunteering in the community, reading, and spending time with her sons and granddaughter.

Anne is an Intensive In-Home Team Member who received her Bachelor of Arts in Religion from Meredith College. She completed her Master of Science in Marriage and Family Therapy from East Carolina University. She joined CAA in 2019. She is driven by her desire to connect with people of all ages. Her focus is to guide them to begin healing and make choices which promote a healthier lifestyle. Anne makes fitness a priority. She enjoys running, cycling, and lifting weights. She loves her family and her dog, Chloe Grace.

Jennie obtained her Bachelor in Family and Consumer Science with a concentration in Early Childhood Development from North Carolina Central University and her Master in Marriage and Family Therapy from Liberty University. Jennie joined the CAA family in 2009 as an In-Home Team Member for children (IIH) and adults (MHSS). Jennie is obtaining a second master’s degree from Liberty University, to enable her to reach her goal as a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC). In her spare time, Jennie enjoys singing and dancing both at home and in church.

Hunter obtained his Master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling from Lynchburg College. Hunter has worked with children, adolescents, and adults over the last 10 years. He has spent that time working in Intensive In-Home Services, Mental Health Services and Support, Therapeutic Counseling in the public school system, and crisis stabilization. After Hunter’s residency, he looks forward to working as a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), serving the community and assisting individuals and families with challenging circumstances. Hunter’s passion is helping individuals and families in need of mental health services and working with them to overcome barriers. He enjoys the outdoors, writing, and art.

Carmen obtained her Bachelor in Social Work from York College. Carmen has been working with families for over 25 years, first as a home-finder and then as a caseworker in a foster care agency in New York City. Carmen then worked as an Intensive In-Home Team Member (IIH) for children with mental health issues for several years. She initially joined CAA in 2009 as an IIH Team Member, and left in 2011 to become a parent educator. Carmen then returned to CAA in 2014 to work with parents and Spanish-Speaking families in the ABA and IIH programs. Carmen's passion lies in assisting families. In her spare time, she enjoys reading, spending time with family, and hugging her beautiful grandchildren.

Licensed Behavior Analyst
Dawn earned a BA in Social Sciences Interdisciplinary at the University of NY at Stony Brook. Dawn then earned her Master of Arts in Infant Toddler Therapeutic Education at St. Joseph’s College in Patchogue, NY, where she was introduced to the field of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA). After completing her master’s degree, she worked as an independent contractor for four years providing home based therapy through early intervention in Queens and Long Island, NY. In 2006, she moved to Midlothian, VA and where she now serves as a teacher of children with special needs. Dawn has gained experience in both IEPs/school districts, infant and toddler early intervention program, as well as in-home based and family services. She completed the BCBA program in January 2016 through Florida Institute of Technology. She joined CAA as a part-time BCBA in 2018. Dawn’s passion is to support families and children with learning needs and severe problem behavior.
